Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
This policy explains what Real Site Worth collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how AI is handled, and the choices you have.
Real Site Worth produces automated estimates and editorial opinions about asset value — it is not a financial advisor, broker, or appraiser, and nothing on the site is financial or investment advice. See our Valuation Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the full statement.
1. Who we are
Real Site Worth is an Ohio-based website, domain, and online-asset valuation service. The operating legal entity is identified in our Terms of Service. For privacy requests, use our contact page.
2. Information we collect
- Submitted assets. The domain, website URL, social handle, or similar identifier you ask us to evaluate.
- Valuation context. Public signals, derived metrics, confidence scores, mode classifications, value ranges, report text, and cached report output.
- Optional owner inputs. Revenue, traffic, cost, margin, or other figures you choose to enter to refine an estimate.
- Contact information. Email address, name, company, and message content when you request a report, create an account, contact us, or subscribe.
- Payment and billing data. Payment status, plan, customer identifier, receipts, and subscription metadata. Card numbers are processed by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, browser, device, referring page, timestamps, error logs, and similar analytics/security data.
- Cookies and local storage. Consent choices, session state, preferences, analytics identifiers, and security technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use information
- To produce, cache, deliver, and improve valuations, memos, roadmaps, and reports.
- To operate accounts, subscriptions, billing, refunds, receipts, and customer support.
- To send reports, transactional messages, product updates, and marketing email where permitted.
- To detect abuse, enforce usage limits, protect the service, debug errors, and maintain security.
- To measure aggregate usage, improve product quality, and understand which features are useful.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and respond to lawful requests.
4. AI data handling
We do not send your email address, name, payment details, account identity, IP address, support messages, or other personal information to AI providers. AI receives only the submitted domain or handle and non-identifying report context needed to draft or improve an explanation.
AI-assisted public content and report text may be generated, edited, or improved through AI tools. We use technical and process controls to keep personal information out of that workflow. If a support request includes personal information, we handle it in our support workflow rather than feeding it into an AI report prompt.
5. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate, secure, improve, or legally protect the service.
| Category | Purpose | Typical data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting and security | Site delivery, bot mitigation, logging, and uptime | IP/device data, request data, logs |
| Payment processing | Checkout, billing, tax, invoices, fraud controls, refunds | Billing identifiers and payment status |
| Email delivery | Reports, receipts, support, lifecycle messages | Email address, message metadata, unsubscribe status |
| Analytics and performance | Aggregate product analytics, error monitoring, diagnostics | Usage, device, event, and error data |
| Measurement data providers | Public, non-identifying signals for valuation models | Submitted domain/handle and public asset signals |
| AI processing | Narrative drafting and explanation assistance | Submitted domain/handle and non-identifying report context only |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to enforce our Terms, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where applicable.
6. Cookies, analytics, and consent
We use strictly necessary technologies for security and core functionality. Where required, we ask for consent before using non-essential analytics or marketing technologies. You can manage browser-level cookies through your browser settings and learn more in our Cookie Policy.
7. Retention
- Valuation cache: typically retained for up to 14 days, then regenerated if requested again.
- Accounts and billing: retained while the account is active and as needed for audit, tax, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
- Email and marketing records: retained until unsubscribe, deletion request, or legal/operational expiry.
- Support requests: retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain abuse/fraud records.
- Security logs: retained for a limited operational period unless needed to investigate abuse or security incidents.
- Aggregated analytics: may be retained indefinitely when it no longer identifies a person.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS, credential protection, access controls, provider security features, limited internal access, logging, and anti-abuse controls. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident requiring notice, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information, and you may object to certain processing or opt out of marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in marketing email or submit a request through our contact page.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
9.1 California residents
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. If a future advertising or analytics practice counts as "sharing" under California law, we will provide the required choice mechanism.
9.2 EU / UK residents
If you are in the EU or UK, our lawful bases may include consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, and data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. Automated processing
Real Site Worth produces automated estimates and report narratives. These outputs are informational and do not create legal or similarly significant effects by themselves. If you believe a report is materially wrong, contact us and we will review the issue.
11. Children
Real Site Worth is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International transfers
We operate from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
13. Third-party links
Our pages and reports may link to third-party sites, marketplaces, tools, or sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy. Some of these links are affiliate links: if you make a purchase after following one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Where this applies, it is disclosed on the page carrying the link.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the Last updated date above or another reasonable notice.
